About Me

Am a hardworking, innovative young man. I schooled through hardship where my parents could not maintain paying school fees. My mother had to make chapatis to subsidize the meager salary from govt. At the age of 12, an uncle gave my mother his fridge for safe keeping. My mum took advantage and taught me how to make flavored ice sticks which i could take to the market on Sundays and sell. At the end of the sales, i could bring home some 50 kshs which afforded dinner. This inspired me and cultivated my career as a businessman. At secondary school I sold eggs to subsidize the kitchen budget and my pocket money, hence mum could concentrate her efforts on school fees. I managed to go through college where i did odd jobs at my free time to boost my fees. After college, there was no employment so i had to be innovative, thus the idea of a cyber cafe was born. I could earn money from getting casual jobs and use the money to purchase equipments one at a time. I bought, a Monitor, later on bought a CPU, then finally a printer, i got a loan from a relative and built a stall where i established the computer services bureau in the year 2008 January, worked hard and bought another computer in May 2008, and a photocopier in October 2008.

My Business

My business in a service business in the printing industry. I offer typing, printing, photocopy, internet and photography services. I draw clients from the environs of my premises and far away since i have learned the customers needs. I strive to satisfy my customers hence av managed to be consistent for the last 9 years. My clients are the churches and hotels nearby who do bulk printing and copies for seminars and monthly consumption, schools that do a lot of exam typing , printing and copying, individuals who work for organizations that have a lot of community field work and bring their reports for typing, printing and copies or posting on the internet in the evening when other cybers have closed since i work till late and their field work ends in the evening. There are also Universities and colleges around my business whose students require copies of handouts, project report typing, printing and binding. I also sell sodas and snacks, do passport photos, T-shirt printing, and Banners.
My business has managed to, settle medical bills during delivery of my children, and it has sustained my family while expanding. it started with one computer and one small 3 in 1 printer, which have generated more computers and a photocopier, stable internet connection with WIFI for customers. It established an eatery/cold drink cafe, with WIFI connection. I intend to buy a bigger digital color printer by the end of this year to print campaign materials for aspirants in the coming 2017 general elections.

Loan Proposal

I will spend this loan on purchasing a full color digital printer worth $1300. If I receive $900, I will top up with my savings of $400 to meet the cost of the machine. This machine will increase my income since customers have been asking for digital color prints of brochures, posters, flyers etc. I project an average gain of $10 daily since a single A3 printout costs $0.5 and A4 cost $0.3. This means that i will be generating $40 a day from the current $30. It will also need to hire another staff to help in the growing business thus contributing to job/wealth creation to the jobless graduates.

Dear lenders, it so unfortunate that the electricity supply in my area has not been stable due to a faulty transformer that was struck by lightning. it was replaced though with a much lower capacity transformer that can not serve the entire area hence frequent blackouts when overloaded. We have reported and have been promised of good replacement in three weeks since the right on is not currently in stock. I promise to resume my normal installment as soon as it is fixed.
    Thank you

    Dear Lenders,
Thank you so much for your patience and tolerance. I have not performed well in the current loan due to the many detbs accrued from the medical bill I had few months ago. I thank God that I have managed to settle all those debts and am now stable. My doctor has been very understanding, he put the life of the baby first and may God bless his hands. I can now embark on my dreams and visions for my business. Since I had to spend the loan on medical bills, I still in need of the color printers. I will therefore work hard to clear my loan and get the next one to buy the printers and even expand my office as it has become small due to the influx of customers and growing income. It has now become an office and not a kiosk as it started. Thank you so much for making my dreams come true. May God bless you abundantly

As I had posted earlier detailing how I had to spend my loan in clearing hospital bill, and how I had a deficit of $500 in settling the doctors fee coupled with a number of small loans from shy locks, I could not manage maintaining my installments since i had to settle the deficit. January also came with school fee budget of $560, I am worn out financially. I shall recover by mid February and resume paying my installments as before.

    Dear Zidisha lenders,
I am most privileged to be supported by you in my struggle to earn a decent living for my young family. May God bless you all.
I have been having a challenge in finances in that I received the disbursed loan on the 23rd August 2018 at the time we were expecting another baby. I was hesitant to spend the money hurriedly owing to our history of jaundice babies in every delivery. We were blessed with a baby on 28th Aug, unfortunately the baby was diagnosed with severe jaundice immediately and she was transferred to a hospital equipped with emergency facilities. She was to be put under photo therapy 24hrs a day which only a private hospital could offer. Blood exchange was also done immediately as the jaundice escalated very fast threatening to take the life of the baby. She stayed under photo therapy and hospital care for 7 days, with the bill summing up to $1500 for hospital and $500 doctor’s fee. Having received $670 from Zidisha and some $200 savings, I had to do the noble thing and save the baby’s life. I managed to acquire the remaining $530 from various people including shylocks to clear the hospital bill and be discharged. The doctor agreed to be paid later in installments. I therefore had 2 months to clear Shylock and other debts coupled with school fees $700. All these weighed me down, but I thank God for seeing me through. I now have only the doctors fee to clear by 10th Dec. I believe with the same spirit of hard work, I will manage to clear my loan by 24th January God willing, to get the limit increment bonus. I am grateful to God and Zidisha for your support, for without you we risked loosing our baby angel. Here are photos of our little angel and the bills and receipts from the hospital.

Good day Mr Thaddeus. It has been long since I logged into my account. Forgive me for having been quiet for so long. It so unfortunate that my business went down in 2019 Dec, as a result of huge debts I borrowed to clear medical bills. Simply because my spouse and I have incompatible blood group resulting to jaundice babies. So all my four daughters were born in that condition which was so expensive since only well equipped/expensive hospitals could handle the severe jaundice. So I spent all my savings and earnings in medical bills four times at the expense of my business. Could not pay bills, purchase supplies or even maintain my machines. I was cut of the electricity grid. Without income, I sold my machines to feed my family and so I went down n shut up.
God has been great, for I am alive healthy and strong, my children have grown and bright in school. I am bouncing back, and starting business a fresh.
      Your prayers will be appreciated.
      Thanks

Dear lenders, I wish to inform you that I received my loan on the 23rd August 2018 Mid day and am very happy and I really appreciate your support. This amount will afford me a digital color printer for printing posters, flyers and promotional materials for clients. It will increase my earnings by 30 to 40% and I believe, in a period of six months I will be able to clear my loan and raise another to add one more digital color printer. Thank you so much my dear lenders and may God bless you. Feel free to visit my country Kenya and I will be privileged to host you and take you round the scenes of our beautiful wildlife spots. "Karibu" (Welcome)

    Dear lenders,
I lack words to express how I feel. I am very grateful for your support. You are making me realize my dreams. I know now that I also have a responsibility to elevate other people's live regardless of race, color, ethnicity, country of origin or wherever. You believed in me without even knowing me. It is the work of God and I will never let you down.
I will use the loan to purchase a digital full color printer @ $1200. I have $400 in savings thus i will have to get a $130 top up from my good friends who happen to be my clients too. This printer will increase my earnings to Between $30 to $40 per day. With such amount, my 2 daughters will be stable in school, I will be able to pay my employees and all my bills, and even save so that I can buy another digital printer and a lab quality photo printer. Thank you so much and my God bless you.

Dear lenders, am glad to share with you the achievements of the previous loan which enabled me purchase a good computer, install good internet, purchase good printers and even repaired my Konica Minolta MFP which is a very strong machine that does massive jobs. I am now able to provide clients with black prints/copies without a hitch. This has increased my revenue and now i can generate Kshs. 3000 per day and make good profits since i have less breakdowns and repair costs. My next next goal is to have digital color printing stability, and do away with small inkjet printers. Thank you so much lenders for the support.

Dear lenders, I am most happy to have paid my last installments today before the due date which is 24th August 2018. The loan helped me a great deal to achieve my goal of becoming a mass printing centre. I have managed to add printers and fully repaired my bizhub that now is working. My business is flowing smoothly. I have managed to sort out and establish black printing to a point where I can do mass clear printing without break downs since i have several printers on standby, if one breaks down, I have alternatives. This has asured me of a Kshs. 2000 ($20) minimum income per day. My children are going to school without school fees issues. My life has improved tremendously. My next step is to establish a digital color printing dominance in my market by acquiring Bizhub and Xerox color printers. I also need a photo printer that can do large photos of A4 size and even possibly A3. Thus I will have 3 categories of printing i.e Black, Color and Photo in commercial magnitude. Thank you so much lenders for having believed in me and my dreams that have now come true to be a successful printer. Thanks for elevating my life.

Hallo my lenders and zidisha team, I am privileged to be part of zidisha I appreciate the transformation you have made to my life. My business has really grown and my market share is on an upward scale. My Zidisha loans have enabled me expand my premise and acquire even more printers. I am assured of daily income since I have more than 5 printers hence no breakdown in between jobs. Am having a good life with my family, and God willing we will be going on vacation to the coastal beach of Mombasa, an international tourist destination. My income has improved and now i can afford little luxuries for my family. My two daughters are also in school, the last joined school in January this year. Am very grateful and may God bless you abundantly.
