About Me

My name is Kamunkhwala Banda. Iam a passionate farmer specialized in gardening and livestock. I started farming 10 years ago on my farm. I want to start commercial farming so I can start supplying my produce to big super markets.I have a transport

My Business

I have a mechanics business with my husband which gives me extra income to keep my business running. I have a 2 acre farm in Lusaka which is also my residence and I have a 5a cre farm in the outskirts . My residence is used as a soil sample farm which we use to determine what to grow on the other farm.

Loan Proposal

With the growth we are seeing in the village chickens am hoping the next loan can go to the construction of a village style chicken house with a thatched roof and off the ground elevation ,as explained earlier I like for the farm to be self sustaining meaning if we increase chicken production then we have manure for our gardens as well and also as business.Since we also want to maintain manageable numbers any surplus eggs can also be sold at our little farm stall.

Income Source

Once again I have only stuck to food production which in my informed opinion is low risk and with chickens be it village the turn over is quick in 4 weeks the chickens would have hatched and manure production is every day based on this I feel that we are quickly able to sell to the readly available market ,and because our farm is diverse the different produce help each other to maximize profits depending on which is ready first.
