I am 32 year old nurse who works at Laura Hospital in the Upper West Region of Ghana.
I had my basic education at St Agnes catholic school in Jirapa. While I was in Junior High school, I used to sell kerosene to enable me buy my books and sandals because my father was far away at Nsawkaw in the brong ahafo region.
I had to farm with my father for two years before I could further my education at Jirapa Nurses' Training College.
I started my mobile credit card Business while I was in training college to enable me complete my coarse.
Because of the hardships I went through, I always spend my leisure time in doing business to compliment my salary because I don't want my children to suffer like I did during their education.
Thank you.
I am a nurse employed by Ghana government and my salary passes through the Controller and Accountant Department.
I also sell mobile credit card and do mobile money transactions with MTN GH, VODAFONE GH and AIRTEL GH.
By the grace of Almighty God and help from Zidisha, I can now boast of two new branches to my credit with daily sales volume increasing from 2400 GHS to 3500 GHS.
I have also employed two people, thus bringing my employees number to a total of 5.
This loan will be used to buy and resell mobile credit cards with the target of making a profit margin of 5-10% per week. Part of it will also go into mobile money transactions with profit of 0.4% per transaction.
