About Me

My name is Ombede Daniel from omeri estate ,Busia county. I am the third born in a familly of three and married with two kids.I schooled at Ojamii priamry school and Amukura secondary school and later proceeded to pwani college for certificate in Agronomy.
After hunting for a job for several years ,i did not land one.I started doing manual work at the ministry of agriculture Busia,that is when i learn how to make temporary green houses.I immediately started saving and from my savings I was able to put up one green house where a grow assorted horticultural crops.
From my business i am able to pay fees for my children and support my parents with food.I occasional buy uniforms for orphans in the nearby school for disabled children.
I love socializing ,meeting new people ,watching my crops grow and during my free time i play soccer and ride.
I really feel Zidisha is a life changing initiative given that most Kenyans really have the ideas that can be turned into great business but lack financial muscles to support themselves.Thank zidisha team and lenders for supporting us

My Business

My name is Denis Ombede a commercial farmer at Omeri Estate Busia Kenya.I have one temporary green house made from wood and polythene where i grow assorted horticultural crops for sale.
Currently i have grown tomatoes that I am already harvesting.I always do good agronomic practices to ensure i get the best produce that are able to provide the best utility for my clients,this has enabled me to maintain my clients over a long period of time.
My business is profitable because the are no so much costs apart from the fixed costs.I also do market led agriculture and therefore harvest at time when tomatoes are scarce in the market.This gives me a competitive edge.The risk involved is unforeseen surplus however this rarely happens.
In a good month I sale tomatoes worthy $300,my monthly expense is $140.Therefore i make an average of $160 in a good month.
I am planning to upgrade my farm and will use the income to service my loan.

Loan Proposal

Hey ladies and Gentlemen,my name is Danie Ombede a comercial farmer.currently I am growing tomatoes in my temporary green house.my water tank is leaking and that is giving me sleepless nights,as my tomatoes don't get enough water supply.I am therefore requesting for a loan to fund purchase of buying another water tank before the leak blows out of proportion,a good water tank will cost $145 then I will use $5 for transportation. I will be grateful for your assistance.thank you
