About Me

My name is Nancy Mwangi, born in central Kenya. I am the only girl in my family of seven. My parents are small-scale farmers back at home. I went to primary and secondary school and later joined nursing school. However, I got a job in the same hospital where I went for college. It's a mission hospital, Kijabe Hospital in Kiambu County. I worked there until November 2012, when I resigned and relocated to Nakuru.

I am married with one kid. My husband works with Comply Industries Nakuru as a mechanical engineer. While in Nakuru, I did not look for a job, but started working on my dream of being a business lady. I started a small business of selling beauty and cosmetic products. I am a hardworking lady who believes in nothing less than success.

My Business

I started my beauty shop business two and a half years ago, and it's doing very well. I deal with things like weaves, hair pieces, makeup kits, hair relaxers, and other cosmetic goods. I dedicated my time, energy and resources to my business. My motto is either I make it or make it, in Jesus's Name.

I take home USD $25-$40 on a good day. I am hoping to improve on this figure once I boost my stock with credit from Zidisha. Ultimately, I would like to buy more goods like ladies' inner wear, bras, handbags, etc. If I get this money, I will boost my inventory. The amount will help me as I look forward for more credit.

Loan Proposal

I need to boost my inventory of beauty and cosmetic goods. For instance, braids, weaves, hair foods, hair relaxers, hair treatments, hair shampoo, eye pencils, handbags, pants, etc. This will entice more customers and bring many of them. The profit will increase because the more you sell, the more you profit.
