About Me

I am the second born in a family of five children, 4 boys and I am the only girl. I went to odede primary school and joined Kamusinga girls for secondary. I then went to Bukura agricultural college for my diploma in agriculture.
After completing my course ,I was not lucky enough to get any job, getting start up capital was also a problem. I talked to a friend and told her I wanted to venture into horticulture but had no money to start. she advised me to join there self help group and after six months I qualified for a loan of $200 that I invested in the farm preparation and seeds and grew assorted vegetables that I started selling a month later. the agribusiness did very well and I was able to get money to repay the loan and reinvest. I now have 1 acre under assorted horticulture.
I am a born again christian, and choir leader, I also singing and looking forward to record my my first album soon.

My Business

I have assorted vegetables i.e cabbages, kale's,spinach, onions and traditional leafy African vegetables., . the demand for my produce is high because of my good quality ,cleanness and fair prices.
I decided to do farming business because ,it is easy to manage and run and I also had knowledge of farm management having studied agriculture at the college.
my monthly typical costs are $150 and my monthly revenues are $300 on average. I spend the money on educating ,my brother, helping my mum, business expansion and home improvement.

Loan Proposal

dear sir/madam
I would wish to kindly request for $100 loan so that I can buy a wheelbarrow that I would use in farm for transportation of manure and water for irrigation. a wheelbarrow costs $30 and would use the loan to buy two wheelbarrows. the wheelbarrows would help me reduce labor costs in the farm, through making work easier. thank you

    Hello Linet.
You're getting a bit behind with your payments now. Please contact service@zidisha .org to reduce your payments for a while to a level you can manage. You can always increase them again later when you have more money coming in. They are always happy to help if you ask them.
    God bless you, Wendy
