My name is Elizabeth Kabura. I come from Bahati centre, Nakuru County where I reside. Bahati is approximately 28 Km from Nakuru Town on your way to Nyahururu where your right Bahati and take a rough road towards the post office in Bahati trading centre. Ask for wa-Mary of soko. I am married and a mother of 4 children whom we live with. I am a business lady who deals with selling of potatoes and cereals in the market on daily basis.
My Business
I buy 20 bags of maize, 12 bags of beans, 200kgs of rice and 12 bags of potatoes per month. One bag of maize costs 2500 shillings, one bag of beans costs 4000 and 50 kgs of rice costs kshs 5000. One bag of potatoes costs kshs 1200.the total purchases costs me approximately 50,000 per maize,48,000 in beans 20,000 in rice and 14,400 in potatoes. I later sell them to customers to make a profit of 10,000 in maize, 10,000 in beans, 4000in rice and 3,600 in potatoes. In total I get approximately kshs 23,600per month.
