I am 56yrs old married with 10 children 6boys and 4girls. Although I am old I am still in the business field in order to help my husband to support our family. I have been in Kandutura in Rongai for more than 25yrs. Due to the low income from the garden I decide to start the little general shop which helps us a lot. When my husband goes out to find work to do(casual labour) I just remain at home running my shop. My plot no. is 58.
As I' ve said I am running a general shop which helps the residence instead of going to the neighboring cent re. People really buy my shop and I normally stock the items that are required in domestic in daily bases. What I do get, I buy stock and support my family among other expenses. For the years I have been in this business, I can't say anything concerning with risk.
When I receive the money I want to extend my shop"s building and build it in an attractive way, That will cost me kshs. 40,000 buying materials s.g cement, sand, timber, iron sheets, nails among other things, The remaining part of the money, I will add my stock in order to serve my customer well. My stock will include sugar, cooking fat, tea leaves, maize flour, wheat flour etc.
