I'm Jack Otieno Wando, hailing from Kisumu County of Kenya where I was born and raised in 1992; a resident of Nairobi City. I'm a father of two, a passionate entrepreneur and a believer of economic development through hand_on skills.
I joined Ragen Primary School in the year 2002 and culminated in 2009. I then proceeded to Rakwaro Boys High School and completed in 2013.
In 2016, I moved to Nairobi, full of raw energy to seek for employment. I landed a bakery job where I learnt the skills. I worked here until 2020, when I had saved enough money to start a boutique business. The business was booming and I did great investment like land purchase and building a home for my family.
Sadly, my business was razed down by raging fire in April 2025. Determined to rise again, I had no option but to use my little savings and skills. I opened a small stall where I prepare "mandazi", a common Kenyan street food, which is a product of bakery. I have so far gained trust and a large clientele base; I have also employed 3 people, one helping me in the kiosk while the other other two supply clients with their orders.
I love watching football, a hobby I have cherished since birth.
I operate a "mandazi" business, with is a common street food among Kenyans. This business brings quick income since it deals with food, which is the main reason why I chose this business.
I use the profits gained from the business to fund other living expenses, including paying school fees for my two little children. The rest of the profits are regenerated back into business for continued growth.
I will use the funds to purchase basic stock like, wheat flour, cooking oil and other necessary ingredients which are crucial in food preparation for my business.
This will ensure financially stability for myself and my family while supplying the community with food and direct employment
