I don't like our western culture of dealing with problems by throwing money at them. Peace of mind in return for donations; that is not how it works in my opinion.
Yet, money is what I can offer. Zidisha, on the other hand, owns the knowledge of who is in need of help. By making a loan to an individual human being instead of donating to an anonymous charity organisation I believe we can make a change - one that is sustainable.
