I was born to Mr Festus Okumu and mama Getrude Okumu,I am the second born in a family of 6 children,I went to Khayega primary school and then St agnes Shibuye Girls for my secondary education. I was admitted to University of Nairobi but deferred my studies due to lack of fees.
I started farming as so as to raise money for tuition for my college.I bought 10 chicken and kept them in my room since I did not have money to construct them a house,I then acquired a loan of $300 from uwezo fund that I used to construct the poultry house, and add 40 more birds. The birds have since multiplied and are 200. I come just a few meters from the crying stone of kakamega and that's the unique culture in our land.
I love listening to music, singing, and watching documentaries during my free time.
I keep indigenous chicken organically in my farm .I sell them to a hotel that always orders in advance since the demand is high, I am looking for funds to expand the business so that I can meet the market demands.
I choose these business because I have always loved poultry and because of ready market for chicken in my neighborhood.
my monthly typical costs are $80 for feeds supplements, and vaccination,I spend less on feeds since I practice free range and the birds get 50% feeds from the fields. monthly revenues are $300
.I use the money to save for my school fees and reinvestment in the business and buying my basic needs.
Hello lenders,I recently got a tender to supplier an eatery with 400 broilers every month , I am politely and humbly requesting for a loan to help me add 300 chicks o my flock so that I am able to meet the huge demand.thank .
