About Me

My name is Joseph, am married with two children aged 6 and 1 year. I was born in 1989 in Nakuru County and went through the 8-4-4 system in Kenya. I went to Lamudiac Primary School and Later st. Peters Secondary in Nakuru I hold a Diploma I am currently working as a Computer Tachnician with a local NGO I live with my family and my wife who is unemployed.

My Business

My business entails Type setting and printing, Photocopying, Printing and designing cards, Computer Repair and maintenance, Generating payslips for Government Employees online, Production of KRA PINs, Internet Services and general IT Consultancy.

Loan Proposal

As we get into this festive season, the need for photographic services will be on the rise. With schools closing for December holiday, i will be free for the next 7 weeks. I want To purchase an Epson CIS Printer which assist a great deal in Printing Photographs around. The Printer Cost Ksh. 40 000,I will also purchase a digital camera with high Megapixels at Approx Ksh. 12000. This will require approximately Ksh. 52,000. I will raise the remaining amount of about Ksh 25 000 from my personal saving. This printer is a multi function, it can carry out various tasks e.g. General printing, Printing photographs and photocopying. There are many people around who use digital cameras to take photographs and they end up taking them to Naivasha or Engineer where they are charged Ksh. 30 per Pc. they then Charge Ksh 50 Per Pc. On average a person may have about 20 Photographs in a week. Therefore 20 x 30 = 600 Perweek per customer. If i Get say 4, this will translate to 600 x 4 =2400 Per week. This complemented with income from other services like internet services, Photocopying will almost triple my current income at the moment. I am also intending to produce students ID cards in the neighboring Secondary school. My research has shown that out of 15 in the District, only two schools issue their students with ID cards. This is also a very profitable venture. The projected net income per month will be Ksh 20000.With this, i am confident that the Zidisha loan will be repaid on time, at the same time helping me attain financial stability.

    Hello Again Joseph,
I have noticed that you are a little behind on your payments....Do you have an intention of bringing them up to date (this is to repay the loan)?

    I hope so.
    Best wishes to you.

    Joseph,
I have tried to recrop the photo for you.... It does however not to be the kind of photo, which Zidisha considers to be good for your application....Please read the following link:
    forum.zidisha.org/threads/t...

Also, you should know this space is for communication with lenders, who most likely will not be able to help you.. For help with such technical issues you should post a message on the forum, or send a mail to [email protected].

Finally, please do not post messages about *you* and your loans to other peoples discussions. I notice you asked about you photo on Kwasi Afful's page...I have since deleted it. That is their space, not yours.
    Good luck.

    Dear Joseph Mbuthia

With the added requirement for borrower to have a Facebook account I no longer can support Zidisha. I personally find it immoral to place this requirement on people. Facebook is an unrelated business that neither provides creditable authentication or appropriate credit checks. There are valid reasons why people choose not to disclose their life to Facebook and we need to respect their decision. There is nothing humanitarian about requiring people in need to disclose their life to Facebook.

Because of this I requested that Zidisha forgives my part of the outstanding balance of your loan. I regret that I will no longer be able to provide loans to you and others in Africa. Best wishes business endeavor.

    Sincerely,
    Claus

    Hi Zidisha,
First i would like to apologise for not making my loan repayment on time. The thing is that something went wrong in my business and was forced to close down. I have only made few repayments and I would wish to bring the amount to something I can manage. Please bear with me let me be paying Ksh 2000 per month and will try my best to clear the outstanding loan. I had explained my self earlier through sms.

I wish to thank all Kenyans who came out in large numbers to vote for their preferred candidates. The elections were peaceful though we are yet to receive the final tally particularly for the President which was hotly contested. We are hoping that it will be peaceful to the end. This is crucial for our economy and business environment. So far there are no reported violence may be minor cases. WE hope that it will be business as usual.
