I am Boahema Bertha from Nkoranza in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana.I had my elementary education at Akab complex school and senior high school at Notre Dame girls' snior high in Sunyani .I then pursued Diploma in Education at the Berekum College of Education, taught for a while and undertook a degree in education at the University of Education Winneba . I am currently still a teacher by profession. While in school, i had always wanted to have another source of income to my monthly salary, that therefore edged me to learn more about printing press.
My hobbies are; surfing the internet playing computer games , watching football match and making friends all over the world.
I started operating my printing press in 2010 after devoting my time after school into how to operate a printing press as an apprentice for 2 years.
There are a lot of Schools, Businesses and other Organization that demand my service in the area of typing and printing of their work. Most of the youth are also unemployed and saw this an opportunity to employ some of these youths who are idle to work with while learning how to operate this business at the same time for their own benefit. I deemed it necessary to take this opportunity to start this business. I am now having four (4) apprentices and three (3) full time workers. Some of the services we offer include: Typesetting, Lamination, Posters, Invitation cards, Scanning, Photocopying, Books printing, lCalendar making, Printing of passport pictures. I purchase many of the necessary machines i need for these services with a loan and i still need to do more to improve my business and making it unique .
I seek to expand my production capacity and increase output by 60% next year and so it is imperative to keep the business on sound footing as well as my customer base hence the need for the Loan. My typical cost is based on light and water bill which is about $100 ,$600 to my 3 full time workers and other overhead cost $300.
The profit from my business basically goes into reinvestment in growing the business and helping few friends who are in financial crises. I will be supporting my sister and brother who are leaving with my father but have helped them complete their secondary education awaiting to further their education to the tertiary level from my profit as i have a small savings for them in that direction.
Loan repayment
I will be able to service my loan with part of my teaching salary and the profit from business.
dear lenders,
thanks for supporting me always. I must say since joining zidisha my work has continuously improved. I will be buying a brand new desk top computer to add up my computers since some are too old and making work slow.
