My name is Duncan Kimani, a businessman based in Mombasa city. I deal with selling of meat in a butchery. I am a father of 5 children 2 of which are in school. I am a hard working person who likes to provide for his family.
I also serve as a community elder where I solve minor domestic issues like family disputes. This job is recognized as one of form of justice dispensation by the government of Kenya.
I deal with selling and roasting meat - beef and mutton. I serve the locals who frequent my eatery on regular basis. This food is a delicacy in our region and people from all walks of life come to my place regularly.
I hope to keep doing this job and hopefully leave a legacy for my children.
I am slowly building my capacity with Zidisha loans. I want to use this one to buy 4 plastic chairs which will increase my sitting capacity to 12 from the current 8. This will enable me serve more clients at a time. One chair will cost me $8.
I hope to keep growing through these Zidisha loans until I bring my business to a respectable status.
