About Me

My name is Erick onyango Jayie from Bugengi village,busia county western kenya.I schooled in Mundika Boys High School and thereafter joined Homboyz college to train as a DJ.
After graduating with a certificate in DJ, I mobilized funds from friends and family and with my savings bought a music system for hire.
My services including providing entertainment for various functions including weddings,funerals and products promotion.Politicians also hire my music system occasional.
Being a professional DJ has given me a competitive advantage when offering my services for I am always in position to provide high quality services.
From my earnings am always able to sort out my bills as well as take care of my kids brother school fees.I also save something small for the purpose of investing and expanding my business.
My hobbies include listening to music,traveling
,making new friends ,swimming,riding and dancing. i also love children so much and during my free time ,i take time to visit the children orphanages and play music just to make them happy.
A part from being a DJ a do commercial farming currently I am growing water melon for sale during December holiday.T he water melons are at flowering stage and doing well.
Basically i thank the founders of this project for their kindness and commitment to providing financial freedom to vulnerable populations.

My Business

I am a DJ by profession and upcoming commercial farmer own a small music system that i always hire out at fee, to individuals,NGOs and politicians.I provide entertainment for guests in various occasions including weddings,funerals,conferences and political rallies. I also own a 3 acre farm where I grow water melon.
The demand for my services is always high throughout the year but during festive season (December) it is always at the peak.My clients always prefer my services for they are from a professional and quality services and customer satisfaction is always the core of my business.I always do my best so as to retain my clients who in turn spread the news of my good services.
The major constraint my business is facing is financial constraints, better music system is quite expensive and raising the funds is a hurdle.However the business is profitable since competition from other professional DJs is minimal in my area,this makes me make quite decent revenues from my business.
On a good month i usually spend $0 on my venture and get revenues of $300 however on a bad month i always spend up to $100 to carry out repairs on my my music system.
I expect to use revenues generated from my DJ business to service my loans , before i start selling water melons in December ,with Zidisha i can foresee a flourishing business and the future looks bright.

Dear lenders ,I am so humbled by the fact that you trusted me with your resources and funded my first loan,Thank you. I am now appealing to you to kindly fund me to enable me buy a generator for my WATER MELON. I will really be grateful for your assistance. I will also use the generator to generate power for my Music system.
I will use $360 to buy a heavy duty diesel generator to enable me pump irrigation to water my 3 acres of watermelon when the short rains stop in mid November,this will make the fruits grow to maximum size and hence fetch premium price during hot December- January season when demand is always high.Thank you in advance
