My names are Clare Avugwi.I live in Kangemi, Nairobi Kenya. I am the first born in a family of six. I was born in 1988 in the western province, Kakamega district now Kaka mega county. I started my primary education at Evojo primary school in 1995 in the western province. I had to change my school in the year 1998 to Litein east primary school at class four as my father shifted to the Rift Valley province, Bureti district now Bureti county. I sat for my K.C.P.E exams in the year 2004.
In 2005 I joined Boito secondary school in form one. I did my K.C.S.E. exams in 2008.
After high school, I lacked funds to propel me to college .Engaged in casual employment with an aim of raising capital to start my own business. After acquiring enough capital, I quit this menial jobs and started my second hand clothes business.
I engage in buying and selling of second hand clothes. I started this business in December 2012.The business was started from money that i had been saving from the menial jobs that i had been doing after my secondary school education. The net worth of my business is ksh57000.I stock all kinds of second hand clothes ranging from kid swear to those of adults of both genders. With the increase in population and the high cast of new clothes in my country, the demand of second hand clothes is on the rise and my area being in the outskirts of the city, I chose to engage in this trade so as to bring goods closer to those who might not have time to travel to the city for the same.
Most clients prefer my stall to other stalls because I stock a wide variety of clothes making it a kind of one stop shop. Its also located at a secured place that allows me to work until late hours.
On monthly basis make purchases of between 45000-53000 which leaves me with a profit margin of between 15000-20000.After footing all the expenses, I usually remain with around 7000-12000.The major aim of applying for this loan is to help me to expand my stall as I am currently forced to display part of my merchandise out in the open and the current weather condition is unfavorable. Too much sun discolors clothes while rain makes them dump and dirty.
I will use kshs 4000 the amount that i will get from you to buy iron sheets and timber to extend my stall so as to have a spacious working place so that it can accommodate more clients at a time.I will inject the remaining amount in to the business so as to curb the high demand that is due to arise towards the end of the year.
