My name is Benard Chege Kimani am from Bahati Division, Chania Sub-Location near karunga center we branch from Maili Saba Nyahururu Nakuru road. Iam a family man with four children two of them have finished high school one of my daughters is in high learning (college). The last born is in primary eight. We work together with my wife to raise our children and to make sure that we have given them good education if possible.
Iam a farmer I grow maize, beans, potatoes cabbages etc. this where we get income for paying school fees and other bills, we also get most of what we consume from those crops we grow, in our home we do not have many bills to pay because we live in our farm and many of the commodities are from our farm. From growing crops we get about 300000 annually. I have kept cows in the farm and they also produce milk we sell some and some we use at home, also in addition to cows we have kept Kienyenji Chicken which also gives us some income. From cows and chicken we get about 400000 annually. My annual income is about 800000
I would like to upgrade my farming business to use the modern farming method. I would need about 80000 to be buy things like pumps for spraying water ,seeds and fertilizer so that I can be able to grow cabbages , carrots and tomatoes. Especially during this second season when the rain is not enough.
