My Name is Dancan Barabara, a Kenyan citizen. I live in Kitale town, Tran Nzoia County, Gatua division in Rift valley province. I am married and a father of one baby boy. A single mother raised me up after my parents separated. This made my school life very hard but I was able to clear high school and later joined college all this was made a success by well-wishers who paid my fees and also through government bursaries. After graduating from college, I was employed as a sales representative in a company located in kitale town. The experience I gained from my work motivated me to setup my own business.
I use the income from my business to pay bills and pay school fees for my son who is in class one.
During my free time I love swimming, socializing, travelling and helping the disadvantaged in the community.
My business is situated in the Kitale CBD along Kenyatta Avenue. I repair and sell phones and phone accessories. I started this business 2010, by then it was just phone repair but I have expanded it with time to selling of phones and phone accessories. This being a busy street I have a lot of customers daily I make a profit of not less than $300 per month. I use this profit to pay rent, electricity bill and one employee who assist me at the shop. The rest I pay fees for my son and invest further
When granted the loan it will enable increase my stock by purchasing ,chargers, memory cards and other phone repair accessories i.e ear piece, mouth piece e.t.c
These will increase the number of customers to buy from my shop and increase my income greater heights. l will be able to invest more on phone spare accessories whose profit margin is very high nowadays
My estimated budget :
Memory cards @ 300 x 15 = Ksh.4500/=
chargers @ 100 x 20 = Ksh. 2000/=
phone spares Ksh.1500/=
