About Me

Hello, My name is Edinah Sakwa, friends and family call me Gina Wesa. I am from an upper-middle class family both my parents were employed by the government and I enjoyed a fairly good upbringing until I turned 12 years, I lost my dad and my mom lost her job. As the first born in a family of 4 (1 brother 2 sisters) I had to grow up really fast in order to take up both my parent's responsibilities. Through the struggles eating from hand to mouth sometimes nothing. Going to school one day and you are thrown out the other but we never lost hope at all, I completed school went to college and at age 21 I was one of the few lucky ones to get a job an a flight attendant with Emirates Airline I worked for 12 years in this prestigious company until an attack of shingles along my brain nerves made me loose my job. I had to go back home to the family that was all looking up to me for practically everything and once again we were back to looking at each other again. 4 years later in 2018 I was lucky to get another amazing opportunity with Qatar Airways as a flight attendant until Covid-19 when I lost my job again. Now you may ask yourself "but why she never invested??" Thats where my very unique culture comes in, I automatically assumed parental role providing everything for my mother and siblings since I was privileged to be to only one with a well paying job and my siblings were still studying, so we believe in pulling each other up, you work hard to bring the rest of your family to your level and beyond. During Covid I used my social media accounts to document how life as a Flight Attendant has lots of benefits and great networking and that is how I started my consultancy. At 40 years now, I cannot follow same flight attendant path anymore but I can help thousands others to get the job. I am literally married to helping young girls get out of the streets and out of prostitution by giving them free courses and prepare them as future flight attendants but during my free time I play with my two Havanese dogs (one 5 years the other 1 year) and my Turkish Van 10 year old cat.

My Business

In my introduction I mentioned I am an ex-flight attendant, I have had the privilege to travel to over 160 destinations around the globe. I previously worked for 2 major middle eastern airlines, Emirates Airline and Qatar Airways between 2002 to 2020. in total I have been in the aviation industry for a total of 14 years in two different airlines and my mission is to get young people to join these amazing jobs instead of leading a path of destruction. I started as a hobby but now with more airlines expanding their recruitments into Africa there is high demand for this job and now there is need for me to move out of my study room where I do all my online and in-person coaching to an office setting. I chose this kind of business because of the current surge in this job every airline is looking for young people and these young people are looking for a mentor to lead them to the right path of this career for a typical 2 weeks of training and preparation for their interviews, resume (CV) screening, grooming and everything that entails costs USD 300 per candidate in a typical month I train between 20-50 candidates both online and in-person classes. Currently all the little profit I make I managed to employ 2 former flight attendants bought projectors and two computers for the office space I intend to have.

Project Proposal
