About Me

I was born and raised up in a low income family, we did not have the basics of life e.g. taking 3 course meal a day was not in our diary! I was engaged in gainful income activities at tender age (10 years old) and I struggled to go through my formal education. My past life informs my actions in life and I have always made it a priority to support the poor, uplift the most vulnerable members of society achieve economic independence.

I am an avid reader, researcher and a go-getter. In my free time, I do talk and socialize.

My Business

I am currently undertaking humantarian work at the community level by helping poor, grassroot women involved in organic farming and fishing-related chores acquire basic skills for transacting their business, create awareness on human rights, child rights and build the capacity of these women to avert sexual and gender-based violence that is rampant in the HIV/AIDS ravaged, overpopulated, fish landing beaches in Lake Victoria, Kenya.

I do community organizing, resource mobilization and train women and the youth on startups, management of small and micro businesses. I am deploying low-end technologies like mobile phones, radio listening groups, facebook, whatsapp and instagram to engage and create platforms for skills acquisition, capital access, knowledge sharing and networking among my clients.

Project Proposal

I am raising funds to buy seedlings for a backyard farm set up within the safe space compound (temporary place for hosting/accomodating Sexual and Gender based Violence S(SGBV) victims as they seek medication, legal justice and escape from offenders). Part of the loan will also be used t buy a broadband internet connection modem to enable connect my desktop computer to the internet and share stories and life experiences of my clients. With the internet connection, I'll be able to load reports online, link SGBV victims and survivors with the support institutions helping them through remote counselling, psycho-social, emotional and economic support.

I'll also be able to assist local teachers and school in uploading examination results and school enrollment data to the Ministry of Education online portal and I'll get payment for the services offered. The income from this errands will help me raise income to support my family, settle utility costs and lead a dignified life as I serve humanity.
