Am nancy chepkoech a mother of one daughter a christian and a lover of rock music, I schooled at Baricho primary school and Baringo high school i later joined Eldoret [polytechnic and did a course in catering after college i did not get employed and decided to use the small money i had to start a small business in my area i noticed population increase most are bachelors whom are in school and would not find time for cooking so i decided to invest in boiling of maize and beans (GITHERI) and selling them while ready ready for frying.
I did nt have lots of money for a good business but with the small i had i made good use of it, I started with 10 kilograms mixture of Maize and beans which was giving me a a profit of 300 Kenya shilling a day, My business grew as no one else was doing the same business and i started making 500 to 800 Kenya shillings a day.
I sell ready to eat maize and beans popularly called Githeri in my home,
This is basically maize and beans i buy and boil and people buy to go and eat or fry at their homes which is not time consuming.
I make 1500 Kenya shilling a day 500 is the capital and 1000 Kenya shilling is my profit my expenses are charcoal and water.
People have no time to boil this food it takes time so i make it easy for them and i focus on my target.
I use the money for basic needs and support my siblings in school.
Once i receive this loan of 179 us dollars i will use 70 us dollars to renovate my two selling joints, 79 us dollars to buy maize and beans to add stock, 30 us dollars to pay for health license so to meet the government regulations.
By doing this i will be able to work in a clean place and attract more customers hopping to make a profit increase of 20 percent and above.
Thank you good zidisha family.
