My name is Esther Theo. I am a small scale retailer . I started out 3 years ago when I wasnt able to find employment after I graduated from University to support my parents and my 4 adopted children. I saw the need to open a grocery store in my area because there was none. We had to go far just to look for a shop that sells groceries. My aim was to give back to the community what it gave to me growing up. I started up with a very small hand made shop and then as I grew my revenue I was able to pay for rent in a bigger shop.
My business is a retail grocery store were I sale house hold groceries and food stuff. My business supports me and my family. Now that schools are open, it will boost my revenue and enable me to pay for my children's school fees and supplies. They mean everything to me, and I really want to give them good quality education to secure their future. I plan on expanding my retail business. In my area, there are no butcheries in radius so I plan on buying some chickens so that I can repack them and sale them . With the high demand for meat in my neighborhood, I am certain that I will earn profit and pay back this money with no difficulties. In the near future I plan on expanding my business into a butchery. If all goes well, I will start raring chickens on a small scale so as to increase supply in my venture.
With this loan I intend to buy a meat cutter which I will be using in the new section of the butchery in my grocery store. I started selling some fresh meat products and now I intend on buying some whole goats.the meat cutter will make it easier for me to cut up the meat.
Yes businesses face risk but with the rising cases of covid many customers would rather buy groceries locally than have to go as far as the malls so I'm sure that my business will continue to grow
