I am Philip Odhiambo, a male Kenyan citizen aged 26 years old, married with one child and pursuing an early childhood education teaching course on a part time basis when the schools are in recess. I was born in 1989 as the 5th born in a family of seven children.
I grew up as a partial orphan after the death of my father. We were left alone with my mother when my father died. My mother did not have any steady source of income and this really complicated my early childhood life. I struggled through my education and did my final high school exams in 2007. I have now joined early childhood teachers college.
My hobbies are singing and reading novels.
My Business
My business involve teaching little children aged 3 - 11. I also help in the school as a classroom teacher. The school business is good since the community appreciates our work and they are very co-operative. The school business needs a lot of capital especially at the start-up level. I am raising loan to enable me complete my college education so that I can become a professional teacher.
I need to buy teaching materials, learning AIDS, games equipment and stationery hence the need of a loan from zidisha.
I want to buy stationery for my Nursery Teacher Course and Practical Classroom work as I teach children in school this include books, chalks, charts and pens that will sustain me for the whole term this will cost KES9, 500. And KES5,500 will be used to add plastic chairs, so with the Zidisha funds I plan to add to my savings buy the stationery that will help my school see more profits throughout the term since I will not need to be buying the stationery every time. That will allow my staff members to enjoy their work and so also to boost their morale. I look forward to having a good profit and repaying the loan on time.
