My name is Pavine Payler. I was born on 2 November 1993. I am the first born in our family of three. I live in Nairobi County, Embakasi West Constituency, Umoja Innercore Estate. I deal with salon and beauty products, where I offer the services and also train people in the community on salon and beauty at a very affordable cost . I went to school in Bidii Primary in Nairobi County, where I did KCPE in 2007 and managed to attain 349 marks. I then joined St Mary's Lwak Girls in Siaya County in 2008, where I did KCSE in 2011 and attained a mean grade of B minus.
Following my interest in beauty, I started a salon business to make sure people take care of their aesthetic aspect of life and also to create jobs for the less advantaged members of the community by offering training on salon and beauty products at the lowest cost possible. I also expect to sustain myself with the money made from my salon business. I have used the earnings from my business to purchase salon equipment.
My hobbies include swimming, playing basketball, and making sure that every one in the community gets a place to fit in.
My business is called P Square Salon and Beauty Products.
I will use the loan to purchase an additional hair dryer, since my clients have increased a lot due to the efficiency of service provision at the salon, since I got the first loan and used it to boost the business. I will continue doing hair dressing and beauty products to the people of the community of Kayole. This includes braiding, perming, curl kitting and applying of chemicals, among others.
I also train youth in the community on how to do hairdressing and chemicals by inviting professionals of this field to my salon three times a week. If I get this loan, I will use this loan to expand my business by purchasing an additional dryer and more products to accommodate the rising number of clients that we have to accommodate everyday. This will boost efficiency by making it convenient for the business.
My customers prefer my services because they are always unique and much affordable. My business is profitable since my customers pay for the services that I provide. The risk is that people in the community are of low income; therefore, I have to charge them as little as possible, but still I am able to make a profit of USD $120 per month. My current typical monthly cost is about $880 USD per month and sales is about $1,000 USD per month. I will pay back this loan promptly with interest made from my salon business.
Since I went to college I gained much knowledge that has made many interested in my services. One of my dryers got blown by power some three months ago. The one dryer that I have gets overworked by the streaming customer. I therefore would like to purchase two more dryers to help me offer my services effectively and with convenience. one dryer costs one hundred and twenty US dollars, therefore two dryers would cost two hundred and forty US dollars. when I get this loan my profit would go u[ from the current 170 dollars to 200 dollars per month. This is because people around have realised that most salons around are being run by people who are non professional. This adds value to my services.
