My name is Loise, I was born in Nairobi and grew up in both Nairobi and Kericho. Both areas were great. I live in Nairobi now, and it has changed. It is more expensive to live here, and it is a challenge to make ends meet. I had my basic education at Malava Girls Primary school and proceeded toMalava Girls High school. After High school, I worked for a year so that I can further my education. In 2011, I was admitted to Sigalagala trainning Institution where I specialized in Fashion and Designs. After my graduation, I started my own business with personal savings. People of Suhum and nearby likes local fashion.I have a two year old baby girl. I also love reading about fashion designs.
I started my business last year May. it was a hobby and something that i loved doing.i loved afrian designs and i used to customize everything i wear to look african, that got me more customers.
i make Kitenge/ankara shoes, bags, bow ties, outfits, bangles and earings. There is a huge emand for this goods as people nowadays always want to look unique and desire that african touch to their look.It is als the fashionable thing now.My customers prefer my goods to other competitors because they are unique, classy and affordable.I always get double profit to all my products.I face risk of loosing customers since i have not establish a shop yet.I do my work in the house and sometimes getting customers to come to my house for fitting is hard.
my monthly costs is $150
sales revenue and profits $170
Given the loan together with the savings i have the loan will assist me in increasing and having diverse fabric stock ,which i need in different colors. This will cost me around $ 190. This will help me make more different designs and meet the high demand that i have for the African stuff. It will also help me work at ease instead of working with a rush as i do it now on order.
