My name is Chiozya Mwanza. I am a fish farmer from Mundulundulu village, Siavonga district, in the southern part of Zambia. Siavonga is home to Lake Kariba, the largest man-made lake in the world.
The farm is located on the shores of Lake Kariba and we grow Nile Tilapia in floating fish cages on the lake. We also catch Crayfish for sale to upmarket restaurants, lodges and hotels.
I am married and we are proud parents to four beautiful children.
My business is selling fresh farmed and wild fish, crabs and Crayfish to up market restaurants, lodges and hotels in the resort town of Siavonga and in the capital Lusaka.
I catch the wild fish, crabs and Crayfish from Lake Kariba and sell it fresh to customers. I have also exported fish and Crayfish to South Africa.
I plan to use the loan to purchase Spares for my Refrigerated Truck which we use for transporting fish from the lake to markets in Lusaka and the Copperbelt.
The spares are found in Lusaka and I have already made an order to purchase the spares and fit them to the truck, as soon as my loan is funded and ready to be disbursed.
My business involves selling fish on a daily basis and so I have the cash to use for repaying the loan.
I also have bank savings for use to repay the loan. Thank you.
