About Me

I am Emmanuel Kpor, born in 1987,from Volta Region of Ghana. I schooled throughout the region and now working as an Accountant with Ghana Health Service in Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.
Things worked well until my parents separated when I was in primary 5. Things started getting tough when my mother had to singlehandedly take up my upkeep and education as well. Life wasn't easy by then until a friend introduced me to our Roman catholic church brass band for which he was a member. He told me they earn some money from being playing the band. So I decided to join;not knowing,MUSIC is my God's-given talent but didn't know.

I started training with the band in the year 2000, and within few months,I nearly overtook my trainers. Town bands began trooping in for me for programs, for which I earn some money for both my upkeep and other expenses. "Hardship made me realized my TALENT" and I am very happy knowing my talent.

Though playing my instruments, I was schooling at the same time. So after my Polytechnic studies in Accounting and Finance,in the year 2010, I gave up on music to concentrate on Accounting. After my National Service, the call for music resurfaced in my life,as I could wake up at dawn to read and write music.
After my National Service in the year 2011 and there wasn't any job available, I thought of rather going back to my band until I get a job. I organised ten(10) -man brass band squad for which we go on various engagements in return for payment; in fact, we could make at least $75 per program. This continued until I had a job in the Accounting Sector.
Now I have my job but still want to raise loan and buy some needed musical instruments so that I could start a band on my own for which I could earn at least $125 per weekend.

My Business

We provide good musical sounds at programs;be it funeral, parties, weedings etc for which I get a return of at least $125 after the program.
This service is so much needed at any public activities
I chose this kind of business because its one of the lucrative businesses in our time and as the saying goes "turn your passion into business" I love playing musical instruments and will be very glad to turn it into business.
My costs is $1495 in total for getting about thirteen (13) musical instruments and my revenue at the end of each program ranges between $125 to $150.
The profit of this business is intended to be used to set up a well established music school in Volta region, as there is non yet available.

Loan Proposal

When I secure this loan,I will purchase four other musical instruments to add up to the initial ones purchased. This will help me enlarge my band and will be able to attend more programs in return for a higher profit. Thank you
