My name is Carl Yawson Ishmael from Kadjebi in the Oti Region of Ghana. I am a young graduate of KASEC, where I studied Agriculture. Before graduating from School, my mother died and as the elder son I had to take care of the myself and my younger ones, so I put on hold my education and went in to farming to earn some money to feed the family as well. I'm now married with 2 children.
I am a professional farmer and also rear animals. I have Cassava farms, Yam farms, maize farms and among others. I have been farming since 2014 after graduating from SHS. I have 2 workers who works on my farm as my employee. I also have people who work for me on part-time basis. I have It is my strong desire and dream to produce food in large quantities and export to the world in the future so I am highly focused.
I need the loan to purchase more Weedicides for my Yam Farm which I have expanded this year due to the high demand for yam from customers. The spraying of the farm will make way for the yam to grow healthy and produce bigger tubers.
There is ready market for farm products here in Ghana more so I have already started harvested my maize and now started selling it so it's easy for me to repay the loan. Also, the COVID-19 doesn't really affect my farming business here in Ghana.
