My family that i grew up had people oriented towards doing business. My father owned a hotel and my mother was a pineapple seller. My sisters and brothers are all self employed.Growing up in such a family i found myself also thinking of how to employ myself after clearing my high school education.I tried many kinds of business before i settled on the one iam doing right now.I sold shoes, clothes, operated a hotel and finally a shop.I was not satisfied in this businesses. Its only when is started a spare parts business that i felt this is me.This is what i want do.I sell bolts and oils for vehicles.I operate near garages where vehicles are repaired and motorcycles.I opened near them because there is market.Iam a single mother of two children. My son who was born first wants to be a judge and my daughter wants to be a nurse doctor.I like to watch cartoons with my children.
I sell nuts, bolts ,screws and oils.My business is situated near garages for motor vehicle repairs and motorcycle repairs too. The kind of business iam operating is unique and of its kind.I had tried my hands in several businesses which did not work for me.But when i began to operate this one i felt this is it.This is what my heart likes to do.My typical costs are KES 60,000/= monthly.I have a revenue of KES 24,000/=.I use my profits to pay fees, meet basic needs ,premiums for medical cover and women welfare savings.
I will buy one wheelbarrow to use to carry heavy items or when i have been asked to take a couple of things to garage which is nearby. Its efficient because i will supply several things once and to several garages. It will be good for my business because i will save on hiring a loader. The total cost is $20.
