I WAS BORN AND BROUGHT UP IN SIAYA,KISUMU.AS THE FOURTH BORN IN AFAMILY OF EIGHT CHILDREN.MY PARENTS WERE SMALL SCALE FARMERS AND WERE ABLE TO SEE ME THROUGH PRIMARY EDUCATION.,BEING DETERMINED AND HARDWORK PERSON.I SUPPORTED MY PARENTS IN FARMING TO HELP YOUNG SIBLINGS.WHEN I TURNED EIGHTEEN(18YEARS)OF AGE,I WENT TO SEEK EMPLOYMENT IN A LABOR FARM IN A FLOWER FARM AS A CASUAL LABORER,I GATHERED ENOUGH SAVING OVERTIME TO SUPPORT MYSELF AND MY YOUNGER SIBLINGS AND LATER ON MOVED TO NAIROBI,KABERERA SLUM AND START A SMALL BUSINESS VENTURE.I AM MARRIED WITH ONE CHILD,I CURRENTLY SELL MILK IN WHOLESALE,I BOUGHT A BICYCLE AND 5-10 CRATES OF MILK.I USE MY BICYCLE TO BUY MILK IN WHOLESALE PRICE AND DISTRIBUTE TO RETAIL SHOP OWNERS,MY DAY START AS EARLY AS 5AM WHERE I PICK MILK CRATES FROM FACTORY AND MAKE ROUNDS AROUND MY VILLAGE AND NEARBY ALSO.LATER IN THE DAY I DO OTHER SMALL MANUAL JOBS AND COLLECT MILK PAYEMENT.
MY SOURCE OF INCOME IS PERSONAL,THIS IS A BUSINESS THAT DEALS WITH DISTRIBUTION OF MILK AROUND KABERA AREA OF NAIROBI. I BUY CRATES OF MILK AT WHOLESALE PRICE FROM THE MILK FACTORY (KCC MILK FACTORY). I THEN DISTRIBUTE THE MILK USING MY BICYCLE TO RETAIL SHOPKEEPERS AT KABERERAA REA BETWEEN 5.00 A.M TO 7.30 A.M. LATER IN THE DAY I COLLECT MY BILLS FROM EACH OF THE SHOP OWNERS. I ALSO DO OTHER MANUAL JOBS SINCE I HAVE SPARE TIME IN THE AFTERNOON. THESE INCLUDE BUYING FRESH VEGETABLES AND SELLING THEM. MILK IS A NECESSITY EVERY HOUSEHOLD IN KENYA REQUIRES HENCE I AM PROUD OF THE FACT THAT I DELIVER THIS USEFUL PRODUCT. MY BIGGEST CHALLENGE IS CYCLING AROUND WITH MY BICYCLE TO DO THE DELIVERIES HENCE WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE A MOTORBIKE TO MAKE MY DISTRIBUTION WORK A LOT EASIER.I ALSO FACE COMPETION FROM OTHERS WHO USE MOTORBIKE.PEOPLE PREFER ME BECAUSE I WAIT FOR PAYEMENT LATER IN THE DAY.I FACE CHALLENGE OF SPOILT MILK AND OTHERS WHICH BURST,I INTEND TO BUY MORE GOOD CRATES AND ACCOMODATIVEIN A MONTH I RECEIVE A NET PAY OF TWENTY THOUSAND SSHILLINGS,(KSH20,000),WHEN I DEDUCT ALL THE EXPENSES I REMAIN WITH FIVE THOUSAND WHICH IS GOOD,SO I HOPE IF GIVEN A LOAN I WILL ADD MY SAVINGS TO PURCHASE A BICYCLE.
thanks zidisha for my previous loan,it helped me buy small fridge worth $100,thanks now i need money to increase my sales of milk to ensure i supply across my village without shortage.i beleive in you and thanks for changing many lives of people.i intend to add part of my savings to this loan that i expect from you to buy a motorbike,i intend to buy a second hand worth $150,with this it will ensure delivery at the customer service and will reduce stale of milk.
