I went to shirimbi primary school which was 5 km away and I had to walk every day to and fro school. I then went to shirimbi secondary school which was 5.5 km away, despite the hardship, I manged to score a B+ in my secondary education and was admitted to Moi university for degree in natural resource management.
I was lucky to find a job but the salary was meager and therefore to manage my bills I had to think outside the box. I started growing seedlings to help replant trees tht were being cut down daily without replacement. I grew seedlings and sold them to individuals and NGOs as well as government agencies. The business picked up well and I decided to quit employment and fully concentrate on the business.
I love trees and therefore during my free time I do nature walks in the forests that to watch trees and animals as well as take part in environment conservation efforts through sensitizing the community on importance of growing trees.
I provide seedlings for both fruits trees ,timber trees, fencing trees and animal feeds trees to my customers.
the demand for tree seedlings is high because of over deforestation and sensitization of the communities on the importance of tree planting.
I choose these business as part of my efforts to restore and conserve the environment through easy access of planting materials and seedlings to the community.
my weekly costs of running the business on average is $50 i.e $200 per month and my average revenues per month is $500 per month ,however during raining season my revenues are $700 on average.
I use the profits from my business to pay for my masters course, help pay fees for my orphan nephew and help my mother.
Hello lenders
I am pleased to request for a loan of $200 . I would spend the $150 I would receive on buying decomposable bags for planting seedlings, these will help me reach my target of 40000 seedlings for the april rain season when demand is always at ceiling. I would use the $150 to buy 20000 bags. thank you dear lenders.
