I grew up within a community that was only aware of fishing as the only source of livelihood the only person who tried to go to school was my daddy who went till form 2 this when his mother complained to the husband that his son can not be subjected to the stress of suffering in school coming home for holidays very emmaciated,so school came to a stand still, that's when my daddy started the life of casual labourer, at a leading sugar company that how he struggled to pay my fees. After my form 4 I went to the neighbouring country for my A levels where i did Sciences subjects which propelled me to do a medical course through a private college which i completed the year 2009.Since i went through a private college registering for a private practise licence has been hell thus needing money to sit for my exams in June .meanwhile in a private laboratory as a laboratory technologist just to try and survive this murky Waters. For my family after am registered and am practising i believe employment with the government or internationally shall be very easy poverty shall be a thing of the past.
The private laboratory I work can easily help me pay my loan since it helps me pay my rent and also school my kid not forgetting my parents who are long out of any employment this the main reason why saving for my exams has been very difficult because of high dependency ratio. From the laboratory i earn approximately $200 since this is a side laboratory.my rent is $70 at the exchange rate of 80ksh=$1.
