Iam the third born in my family.my parent are farmers.i went to Bomet primary school and after doing my final exam i manage to join kaplong girls high school but reaching form three my parents had no funds to pay fees for the three of us in secondary school. I therefore being a girl was asked to give my brothers a chance while i steepped aside from school.I got married immediately when i was below eighteen years. After some years i decided to borrow my husband some amount to start my own business.in our culture the boy child is the most respected than girl child.my child who is the first born wants to be a surgeon. My second born daughter is due for school next year.
I am operating a shop and sell foodstuffs like sugar, bread, cooking oil, flour, salts etc.Human beings consume food daily and therefore food items move fast as far as business is concerned.I chose the business because where i live people walked very far to look for food items because there was no shop nearby. My typical costs are KES 20,000/= per week.My weekly revenue is KES 9,000/=.Profits will pay fees and grow business.
I plan to buy sugar 10 sacks of 25 kg,bread 15 crates, rice 10 sacks of 50 kg,cooking oil 4 cartons, tea leaves 30 packets of 250 grams, toothpaste 3 cartons,Flour for wheat 20 cartons of 12 each,s 40 crates of 24 pieces each. The total cost is $ 200.I will have a good sale during this Christmas season.I will use the profits earned to pay school fees for my kids.I will deposit some money to settle the balance owed for the land i bought and iam paying gradually.
