I was raised up by a single mother after my dad passed on when I was only 3 years old.We are three children and I am the second born and the only girl. I went to sikulu primary school and later joined Sacred heart mukumu girls , I then joined Egerton university for degree agriculture.
After completing university education ,I was not able to secure a well paying job ,I secured a job as an office assistant and it didn't give the job satisfaction since I felt my agricultural knowledge was going into waste. With no job satisfaction and little pay, I decided to quit and venture into agribusiness.I had save $300 that I used to put up a poultry house and bought 200 layers to start with. I have been able to increase my stock to 300 birds and still increasing,my aim is to have 100 birds.
my hobbies include , singing , dancing and making new friends . I am also a youth leader and always provide advice and mentor ship to my young farmers group.
I am a young poultry farmer with 300 layers birds and looking forward to expand my business to have 100o birds. I currently provide eggs to my clients. The demand for eggs is high and I always receive orders from the buyers that I am unable to to supply.
The demand for eggs is high because it is an alternative cheap sour of proteins, compared to other products such as meat.
my monthly typical costs are $150-$200 and my monthly income per month are $350-$400 per month.
I use the profits to pay fees for my young brother and for farm expansion.thank you
Given the loan I would use the money to buy a 100 chicks that I would add to my three birds to make them 400. I would buy 40 chicks $1 and use the balance of $20 to buy feeds for the birds . I am looking forward to 25% in profits in the next three months when the birds start laying. Thank you
