my name is Jacinta from Kisii, Education was not so much valued during out time and as a result i never learnt so much but i received basic education, thanks to my father who was by then a white settler chief and encouraged us to study.
I started my business of rearing and selling chicken after it become so hard for my husband to provide fro us all what we wanted since i was just a mere house wife, for that reason, i engaged myself into these business so that i could support him with daily provisions.
i sale eggs that i get from y chicken to the local residence of kisii town, these eggs that i sale i use the motorbike that i bought using the first loan that i received from Zidisha to deliver them to my customers, i have employed someone to do these deliveries for me as i package the eggs everyday.
i chose these business to support my husband in taking care of our family as well as after studying the market, i realized that the egg business is doing so well.
I use the income that i generate to educate my son and daughter, pay my workers as well as take care of my chicken since they are the main source of my living or rather our living.
Given the loan i will use the money to buy a motorbike that will aide me in the supplying of my eggs to my customers premises. I have been saving towards this effect. The motorbike currently around our place goes for around 700 Us dollars. With the loan and part of the savings that i generated from the business profits, i can make to buy this motorbike.
I will benefit from this because with the motorbike, i can be able to get to my customers on time and i will also widen the market. This will make me witness and increase in my profits. I will also create and employment opportunity to one young man who will be in charge of delivering this orders
