About Me

Am Samuel Ngigi. Currently living in Nairobi Am a banker by profession and and currently doing pig farming here in Kenya

My Business

I do pig farming .The business is small scale, with a current herd of 50pigs. The major challenge is feeds, which are a bit costly. Another challenge being the market price, with a kg retailing for KES 460 whereas farmers sell at Kes/280 per Kg

Loan Proposal

I am a pig farmer in Ruiru, Kiambu
I also run a pork centre. I buy piglets and fatten them then sell some to other pork centre and also supply to my pork butchery as well. I wish to buy more piglets to fatten at the same time buy mature pigs for slaughter.

Income Source

Despite covid 19 pandemic, many people continue to eat pork hence the sustained demand. I also sell mature pigs to other farmers and to other butcheries. I have also decided to offer takeaway pork to my neighbours whenever I slaughter pigs and these has attracted another chain of customers
