My name is Elizabeth Naardu Quashie. I hail from Prampram where I attended school. I completed JSS in 2000. After school I did appreticeship at Ashiaman as a Seamstress for three years. After the apprenticeship I worked for my Tinpin Fashion for one year - where I did the my apprenticeship before finding employment at Global Mama. They are a large enterprise that produce clothing and bags for export. I worked for them for two years.
I have started a seamstress project in Prampram. I am currently sowing clothing for women. It is a fairly competitive environment but with my experience and good skill, I have been able to gain a steady number of customers. I would like to develop this business in a way that it meets the expectations and changing needs of my customers.
I would use the loan to purchase textiles for clothing production. A full piece costs GHc200. I would be able to purchase about 20 pieces with this loan and my savings. My customers would have the chance to choose a textile design from my stock and not have to get it from elsewhere.
