I am a young Ghanaian and a nurse by profession. I stated my Junior High School in Sunyani at Holy Spirit Preparatory School and continued senior high school at Twene Amanfo Senior High School in Sunyani. I completed Berekum Nurses and Midwives Training college and graduated as a professional nurse, I'm currently working at the tain district hospital. All throughout my education, my parents have been very supportive in bringing me to this far.
Because of my relentless effort, zeal and hard work as a professional nurse in my community, many children wish to be nurses and doctor in future.
I've been working as a nurse for more than 2years now. Looking at the number of cases recorded in our family I found out that there are a lot of Hepatitis B positive clients in my community.
Currently I am embarking on immunization of school children, workers and all clients who are tested negative of Hepatitis B.
The full course of the hepatitis B vaccines are given at a cost of $11 per client. In as much as I am helping to stop the spread of Hepatitis B, am making good sum of money from the vaccination as well.
In a week I am able to vaccinate more than 80 people in the hospital.
My Vision is to go for outreach in order to reach out for the people in the rural areas to get them vaccinated as well.
The major challenge is that the vaccines are very expensive, 1vial cost $80-100 depending on the pharmaceutical company you buy from.
This loan will be used to buy hepatitis B vaccine to vaccinate the people in my community, the vaccine are on high demand in my community because my community is an epidermic prone to hepatitis B.
The vaccine cost not more the $100 per vial.
I need more vaccine for my outreach to the rural areas as I educated them on hepatitis B
