My name is Frankline Mawira Nyaga aged 27 years. I am the first born in a humble family born and raised at Chogoria in Meru. I was privileged to be among the best students in the national examinations in the country and so I got a position to get a government scholarship into a good Secondary school and later into Kenyatta University where I studied Bachelor of arts Psychology. I served in AIESEC in the University at different capacities running 3 community based projects and later served as the leader in the student exchange program for community development purposes. I managed to enable over 200 international volunteers to have an opportunity to change the communities in the country to alleviate poverty, disease and also improving the standards of education as well as the environment.
Growing up in the rural areas I had friends, classmates and neighbors who just like me had dreams, they were programmed with the general view of what and who they ought be in life. However, majority of them were not privileged like me and few others to get an opportunity to live their dreams since the means are inadequate and opportunities rare. Many young people today are therefore, faced with intense frustration to their socially genuine yearnings. For example, to be prosperous, popular, and contented. By the mere virtue of being poor, not so good in education or coming from a disadvantaged background, many people are severely handicapped in the competition towards the goals that the society tells them they should value and pursue without failure. This frustration is what results to deviant behaviors in search of a new and safe purpose in life resulting to drug abuse, crime and suicide to those who cannot cope. It is this that made me feel the urge and demand to do something about it to drive change. Being a Microsoft Sprout e-course graduate coupled with skills in school and my experience in AIESEC for 3 years, I formed Eagle's Fountain Youth Edge (EFYE) http: efyekenya.wixsite.com/efye a platform to rekindle and elevate dreams providing hope to the society. 0n 24th December 2013, having qualified and satisfied the criteria, EFYE was officially registered as a Community Based Organisation (CBO) with the Ministry of gender and social services of Kenya, registration number MAR/CBO/2013/1093.
I target to do this through social empowerment using social business.
I have been able to run a series of projects to create employment to the young people so as to solve the employment problems rampant in my area while at the same time finance other social projects we engage in.
I started a Jewelry project targeting the young ladies and men in the community of which the profits are what we use to run other social projects. It is this project that we seek to expand and also buy more materials to meet our soaring client needs.

COUNSELING, MOTIVATION SPEAKING AND LIFE COACHING FOR YOUNG PEOPLE.
I have studied Psychology in Kenyatta University and just cleared this year and it is this that has motivated me further to do engage in counselling, life coaching and motivational speaking at a professional level. There is a huge need for the field in my society and also the country as a whole since there are limited number of counsellors and also coaches. Having recently further studied a course in Neurolinguistic Programming, I am now ready to go commercial in the field. There is increased issues that face the young people and children in my country today ranging from unemployment, drug abuse, radicalisation into the terror groups and there is even increased risk factors that face the youth today and hence the need for counselling, coaching, motivation and also guidance from professionals in the field of mental health.
I chose this field because I have the skills the professional training, the passion and also desire to further impact the youth of my country. I have served with my organisation EFYE for the last 4 years since I started it and we have focused on mentorship and also motivational speaking among disadvantaged schools in my community. I have also practiced counselling to students as a passion as i continued with my degree education. With the help of the previous loans with Zidisha I have been able to grow my skills and also experience in the field in a very vast way. It has also made me realize the big niche that exists in the field of human development especially among the young people and also schools.
The typical costs that are required include:
1. the registration, licencing and certification with Kenya Counselling and Psychological Association (KCPA) that is projected to cost 50 USD.
2. Registration with the ministry of education to work with schools directly at 30 USD.
3. Marketing through brochures, school visits and also further creating awareness on the services that I offer and their impact at 100 USD.
The profits that I gather from the business, I intend to further invest it into my education as i intend to enroll for a master's degree to further my skills and knowledge required to further serve my country and my people. I will also spend more to facilitate my continued working with the less fortunate in society through my social organisation EFYE. I will also undoubtedly invest in the furthering of the business as I repay my Zidisha loan.
My coaching and motivation speaking business alongside NGO Consultancy has been on a growing curve the past few months. However, with increased competition in the industry, there is need for me to increase my marketing and branding too. I want to create a brand that will take my business to the next level while at the same time increase the income that comes in to my NGO that benefits with every income I have with my Human Development business.
I intend to spend 152USD in designing and printing of a banner, brochures and much better business cards.
50USD, i will spend it on social media marketing consultant fees to help my team to gain better knowledge on how to make our social media channels even better.
I will spend an additional 50 USD in trying to promote our social media platforms to reach the target markets and the remainder 50USD i am planning to organize a get away team building for my team to motivate and reward their efforts.
With this, i anticipate to double the revenue of my business and this will translate to 10 young people that work with me on a part time basis getting double the income they make now. it will also translate to a 20% increase in the amounts that goes to my NGO meaning that we can now reach more vulnerable youths, and children to empower, mentor, rekindle and elevate their dreams for them to achieve their full potential.
This loan will not only change my life but of over 100 others and not just in the short run but for the longterm.
