The raining season has just begun and farming work has commenced. I have transported 1000 suckers of plantain to cultivate in my new farm. This I bought from farmers around my village. Everybody wanted to know my secret of that massive business growth and fast life changing behaviour of my family. Initially I wanted not to tell them but upon asking and asking, I organized all the farmers in my village and gave them about an hour lecture on zidisha organization and its mission in developing countries such as Ghana, Kenya, Burkinafaso etc. They all expressed interest and will be joining soon. I am pregnant now and I will surely name my child "Zidisha" because had it not be because of zidisha in my life, things would have been very difficult for me, my children, husband and the entire community

Jambo John, I am James from USA. I read your story and am happy to lend the money to you. Son you seem to be a very good businessman who is determined to succeed, and I believe you will succeed. I hope you don't mind me calling you son. You are doing good to help your family, and I am really proud of you. You even lent a friend some money so he could start a business and I am proud of you for that too. You have a good heart son. I have been to Kenya 3 times and have many daughters and sons and friends there. It is a beautiful place with beautiful people. I guess you have 2 baskets on your bicycle for carrying the eggs, 1 basket on the front and 1 on the back. As you are delivering the eggs is there anything else you could carry that custoners might need, like salt, pepper, or whatever? You might get more income. By the way son, it would be good for you if you had a partner in your business, but not just any partner. I am talking about the Lord, make Him your number one partner. Well son keep doing your best, and keep on keeping on. Write sometime and let me know how you are doing. Greet the family, and take care. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers. Bye for now. James

Good morning my dear lenders, I write to you a happy person. I would like to pass my sincere and heat felt appreciation to you for your support and funding from the first loan all through to the second loan which I completed the repayment a week ago. Looking back at my corn business, am very happy and take pride in the progress the loans you have given me has contributed and transformed my business. Am very much humbled and from the bottom of my heart appreciate all your support in a bid to get the best out of my business. Your empowerment and financial support to my business is immeasurable and am very happy about the progress I have made. Through the loan I was able ta take my corn business a step forward and has made me better the returns harvest I had got previously. In fact, I have been able to increase my harvest by 80% from the previous harvest. This is the joy of every farmer or business person, i.e. to get maximum returns from the invested capital. Through this and my corn business, am optimistic that my dream of going back to college to advance my business skills is within reach with this trend of performance, output and growth of my business. Since I will need a third loan to still get the best out of my business, I can only hope for the best and hope to achieve the dreams and vision I have for my business which is to be a very reliable supplier of corn and silage to the dairy farmers. In fact, in future I would like to be supplying silage to institutions around my area who rear dairy cattle in large scale. Also, I aspire to advance my business skills by joining college which is I plan to do within the next six months which will be possible and be funded by the returns am getting from my corn business. To me, Sky remains the Limit. I appreciate the whole Zidisha team for what you are doing to transform our life's and also reviving the dreams of many youths whose dreams are valid but lack nurturing and empowerment something you are doing successfully. Thank you for this May the God bless you all.. God bless the Zidisha family. Kind Regards, Eliud.

Dear Lenders, I only managed to purchase an oven with the amount loaned to me, as the prices of goods had scaled upwards by the time I went to purchase. Nonetheless, I am looking forward to purchasing the remaining equipment on completion of this loan. So far, it has been a good journey. I have learned a lot of things in this new business. My passion is right there in the kitchen. I can recommend Zidisha to any trusted friend. God bless you all as you continue to fund.

Thank you Tom. Yes, as rural areas have little access to electricity from the national power grid. Though, with the current electricity power cuts in Zambia, communities in the urban areas are using solar equipment too, as back-up energy sources during power load shedding, and these load shedding periods last 8 hours daily.

Hello lenders, the following is the list of the goods i bought with the loan; I bought assorted chemicals at a cost of 13.00, I also bought Seed for vegetables and Cabbages each at a cost of USD11.00 and 14.00 respectively. I also bought DAP & CAN fertilizer the land at a cost of USD8.00 and USD7.00 respectively. Now with the summer and the product is always low in the market i will make a good profit.I will not waste time sourcing money from else where, i will concentrate with farming and selling the ready products. During dry season i used to make around USD300.00 now with this loan available i will get an increase of up to USD450.00. This will be wonderful! Thank you.
