Hello all the zidisha team members.I am called Christine Kerubo.Born and grew up at Ekerenyo Division,Nyaramba sub-location within Kisii North District.I am the third born in a nine members of our family.
I underwent to my primary school level,later join Nyakiambi Girls for my O level education until I performed my K.C.S.E national examinations and attained a means score of C+. I did not further my education since I did not have good points to join university.
Now I am a livestock keeper specifically the dairy cows for an income.
I am practicing a livestock keeping specifically,the dairy cows.I mainly concentrates with this kind of farming since it's the best business ever and its a profit making business.
I have in my paddock 3 adult cows and 2 calves.My main customers are the hoteliers and the dwellers within my town.The 2 cows have been giving us an average 45 liters of milk each day and I sells the whole milk off to my customers at a retail price of Kes.50 per liter.
The total amount I receive is at Kes.2250 per day.After I purchase some dairy meal and supplements,I am left with Kes.1020.This means,if I add 1 more pedigree adult cow,I will sustain my daily customers with enough milk and this will help me in improving my living standards of my family as well as get more customers.Thanks you in advance.
