I am 34 years old, married with one child. I grew up on one side of rural Kisii called Omogonchoro very close to Kisii town. Growing up life was a struggle because my father passed away early and my mother had a hard time meeting our needs. We went to badly equipped schools, and could not afford very basic needs. I come from a family of 7 kids and so paying fees was very hard for my mother. Not seeing a very bright future at home I got married. My husband used to have layers business and we managed to build a brick house. But life became very hard when he sold his business to join school. I began daily business and I now became a breadwinner for my family while my husband is attending school. I now have two cows which have supported me to join a nutrition school because my focus is a baking business.
I want to expand my baking business. I currently supply the village with bread, cookies, pancakes, fried dough, and chapatis. There is no one in this village who has a baking business and I have passion for baking and I have trained in it. My vision is to supply Nyaronde village with all kinds of baked goodies. I started this business a year ago when one guest visited the Grace Fund women and bought for me a baking mixture. My biggest challenge is to afford additional equipment and ingredients.
This loan will help me buy equipment and ingredients for my baking business. I will expect good returns ones I am able to sell more products. My vision is to supply the village with baked products which are currently missing. This income will help me expand my dairy cow business which has been helpful in vending for my family and sending my husband to school. I want my daughter to attend good schools. This business will definitively impact my life and that of my family. Besides I will supply much needed product to the village. Thank you all my well-wishers for helping me make my dream come true. I have began gathering materials to build a stall at the roadside to aid in my product distribution. This will help me move my business from the house to a more central location
