I am a single mother of 3 children and I live a two roomed house in Kanyama compound , where I am renting and live with my 3 children. I survival by selling second hand clothing and school bags which I sale on the market. I completed school but I was unable to further my education due to lack of funds. I come from a poor family and parents were poor and could not afford to pay for college tuition fees. The only to over come poverty and to look after my children very well was to start a business and how I started the business was through women cooperative fund. Having received the funds , I ventured into business and it is the source of income for my family. Becoming a member of Zidisha has given me joy and motivation as this will help grow my business.

I have a store in our community I sale second clothing for men , women , boys and girls. I also sale school bags for school going children. Second hand clothing are affordable too many house holds because they are affordable to buy. Demand is good and high for the local people because they are low income earners. I started with one bale worth ZMW 2000 and my profit is per day ZMW 300 and from Monday to Saturday I generate the profit of ZMW 1800.00 and I feel , if I can buy 3 or 4 bales per week , I can be generating approximately ZMW 1200.00 of per ZMW 7200.00 and my business can grow and generate a lot of money and uplift the living standard of my family.

The funds needed, I need to rent a shop and buy more bale's of second hand for me to selling more and generate more revenue. I sale in an open store at the market, during rain season the cloths get messed and to have that I need to rent a better shop and stock up bale of second hand clothing during this period and make more profits.
