My name is Stephen Ngugi Kimamira, born and raised in a village called Njabini, located in Kinangop Constituency Nyandarua County. Growing up in this part of Kenya, where farming was the main economic activity of my community, taught me the importance of hard work, resilience and determination. I studied in a local primary and secondary school, after which I joined Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology(JKUAT) and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and successfully completed my studies in 2017. After college, I ventured into entreprenuership where in 2020, I started my own construction company called Grynamite Entreprises. The company is based in Lusighetti town in Kikuyu Constituency. Starting a business has been an exciting journey that has taught me the importance of persistence, good customer service, reliability and building strong relationships. My goal is to continue growing Grynamite Entreprises into a trusted and successful business while greatly contributing to the development of the construction industry.
Grynamite Enterprises is a Limited company that offers construction and building solutions in Kenya. The company specializes in the supply of general hardware and construction materials, providing clients with essential materials required for building and renovation projects. We also offer construction equipments and machinery for hire, including concrete mixers, hoist, vibrators, trappers and drum rollers helping contractors and individuals access the equipments they need without having to purchase expensive machinery. We are registred and licenced by National Construction Authority in Kenya enabling the company to participate in offering building services to individuals. The company has employed a total of eight permanent and pensionable employees.
I intend to use the funds to purchase a construction vibrator. This will help me reduce the cost of hiring equipment and allow me to take on more projects. This will increase my profit margins and help me raise more cash. I will also be able to hire out the vibrator to other contractors at a cost of 500kes/day.
