My name is Abigail Nakhumicha Barasa and I'm a Kenyan citizen hailing from western Kenya. One interesting thing about me is that I love children so much, my mother adopted many and so I have eighteen siblings, making us a total of nineteen children. We had a difficult childhood in terms of finances and we survived on basically corn flour bread and greens but here we are! I am a young mother, 23 years old with a 2 year old daughter who I love so much and work hard for. Having been raised on vegetables, I see value in greens and I decided to be a farmer. I started this business with a small budget from my savings when I was working as a waitress and have been growing slowly but surely. My hobby is listening to music and going to concerts.
My business is small scale farming, though I am working on expanding into a larger scale type of farming. My farm produces large quantities of all kinds of green vegetables like kale and pumpkin leaves as well as tomatoes, cassava and sweet potatoes among many others. I sell my produce in the local market where I have plenty of customers. I use my profits to provide basic needs for myself and my child. I have an account where I keep money to reinvest in my business to keep growing. My goods are useful because in my community every meal usually includes vegetables and people have to eat everyday.
With this funds I will buy stock for my business to grow myself and help my community with quality feed. I will also get a reliable water supplier because crops need enough water to grow healthy and safe.
