I come from a family of five, of which I am the eldest child. I live in Dakar, Senegal. I'm 34 years old, and I attended university and received a Master's degree. After that, I worked as a commercial counselor at a call center where I earned a fixed salary of 100,000 FCFA (about $210 U.S.) per month plus commissions on sales. I also worked in an insurance company and also did an internship in a real estate company. Currently, I have plans to diversify my income sources, so I opened a beauty and hair salon and I am looking for funding to develop this business. I saw that this is a business area that does well in Senegal. I've always liked challenges and this allows me to create jobs and thus help other young people.
I plan to open a beauty salon (including hairdressing and cosmetic care). This is a sector that is expanding in Senegal and it is very profitable financially. I have already found a well-placed location to start my business - it is in a popular area - and it will cost me 80,000 FCFA (about $165). To start I will have two employees and if it works well I plan to enlarge the business. The material is even available in Dakar and once I have the financing I can open without too much trouble.
I would like another loan to buy products for my beauty salon. Right now I have a boutique in Dakar, Senegal, where I specialize in cosmetic treatments such as pedicures, manicures, and facial care. I also have two employees working for me. This field of work is expanding quickly in Senegal, and I hope to develop my business so I can open other beauty salons in this country.
