Hello my name is Hadija Abdulahi, I was born in Nairobi but my family later moved to Nanyuki, where my mother lives to date. Growing up, my father was a civil servant, he instilled entrepreneurial skills in us.

I am married with two kids.

I live in Machakos with my son who is 5 years and daughter who is 3years.

Currently my husband lives in Mombasa because of his work, we opted not to move with him so that I can be able to manage our poultry farm in Machakos (1 hour drive away).

I was initially employed but I had to quit when I conceived to take care of our children.

I am so grateful to Zidisha platform and it's members because from day one when I started cooking homemade donuts and other snacks as a business to poultry farm to ice Popsicle business and now to building my own shop, zidisha has always been there for me and my family.

Kiasa General Supplies

This shop was built with help from husband and my Zidisha family.

When we started this shop, we had an idea of providing basic everyday commodities at an affordable price range. Most of my neighboours live on a hand to mouth kind of life. So at Kiasa General Supplies we package our items from as low as Ksh. 10.

I plan to add new products such as lotion, perfumes and hair products. This are everyday essential that my customers have been requesting.
