My name is Joan a second born in a family of 6 I grew up in Nyamira county and finished my primary and high school studies in the same county. Since childhood my dream was to be a beautician ,to learn my own saloon in future .After school i requested a small amount of cash from my parents and ventured into salon business. The business has been running smoothly until a friend of mine introduced me to Zidisha. I am blessed with one son he promises after school he wants to be a teacher. I love my neighbors and i like to making new friends.

i have a small saloon shop where i sell cosmetics and do weaving, weaving is on demand compared to cosmetic selling. i choose this kind of business because of the customers in the area where I stay they are readily available

If i will receive funds i will buy braids and cosmetics at a cheaper price from a wholesale warehouse and sell them back to the community customers and some i will be using to weave my regular customers .By selling them i will be generating an income , make a profit pay school fees for son and some will be paying back to Zidisha
