I'm Ezekiel Chogo from the coastal region of Kenya .I was born and raised in Kilifi county in the coast of Kenya.
I attained my secondary education and then joined University of Eldoret to pursue Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry and Rural Development and later graduated in November,2016.
I secured a contract job with Komaza Kenya an NGO in Kilifi county that deals with the growing of Melia and Eucalyptus seedlings with small scale farmers for commercial purposes.
After one year , I quitted the job and started dairy farming. In addition to this,i also practised tomato farming that supplemented the sell of milk. Using the income obtained, i supported our family and education of my siblings.
I'm a hardworking individual who is very determined in achieving set goals and objectives and always focused to achieve them.
After quitting my job,i bought two cows using the finances obtained after working for one year with Komaza Kenya. I have increased the number from two heads to three and they produce milk which fetch around $400 per month. The expenses incurred go up to 250 USD and i remain with $ 150 as profit which I use to support my family and my sibling's education. In addition to this , I also practice tomato farming that supplement what I obtain from sell of milk.
Recently, I started another business in which I deal with domestically used products such as maize flour, cereals ,wheat flour and other commodities that fetch around $ 150 as profit per week.
Due to high demand of maize flour, wheat four and cereals that the locals want and are shortage in supply,I would wish to add more stock so as to cater for the needs of the people around and other places who require these commodities.
