I was born and raised in a small town called isiolo inKenya where It is widely known for its livestock rearing.it is a semi arid region where rainfall is recorded atmost twice per year.I went to isiolo primary school for my primary education and attained 392 marks out of possible 500, I received an admission letter to join mangu boys but due to the lack of fees I didn't join my parents were very poor, I remember those days in high school where I could stay at school the whole night because at home was a nightmare.my father could afford a meal once in a day. After finishing primary school my father died due to illness and since then we haven't come to terms what type of illness it was.I decided to take care of the cow he had left behind together with my mother we could walk 50 km away in search of pasture and water for the cow to survive, with time it reproduced and we started obtaing some little amount for the sale of milk...I started saving until we dug a borehole where with the help of well wishers we constricted a small irrigation scheme where we watered the grazing sites.since then I have never looked back with livestock farming.when my children grow they would like to be neurosurgeons they are very passionate in that.my hobby is taking care of my livestock I enjoying taking good care of them.
I am into livestock rearing.I rear different types of livestock such as cattle goat and sheep.I categorize them into dairy and beef. I have 22 cattles 40 goats and 34 sheep.monthly I obtained an average income of 5000 but 3/4 of it I spend in buying cattle feeds and the rest in education and basic spending of my family.the main problem is poor transport marketing and also the drought in the area that's makes it difficult yo rear the livestock.I chose this type of business because it suits this type of climate.
I will expand the current premise to a much bigger one so as to accommodate a larger number of livestock so as to increase the profit returns.the additives that I bought from the earlier loan really helped the livestock and on their hand boosted the production rate
